Katrina Karch is a leader that holds a degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, bringing a sophisticated, cross-disciplinary approach to alternative fuel combustion.
Prior to co-founding Diamond Power, she built a formidable foundation at GE Aerospace within the commercial engine test sector. Her work centered on mechanical development and high-stakes harsh conditions testing, where she led complex certifications for hailstorm ingestion, dust endurance, and ice shed—simulating the most extreme environments a turbine can encounter. Today, she applies that same “fail-safe” engineering philosophy to the decarbonization of heavy-duty engines. Leading Diamond Power’s operations on the ground in Columbus, Indiana, Katrina is bridging the gap between aerospace-grade testing standards and the practical, rugged needs of the Midwest’s industrial and agricultural power sectors.
